ShoeBox Appeal

The Branch is running an appeal to allow us to send out some shoeboxes to our troops serving in Afghanistan. So far, through very generous donations from the members of the public and through fund raising events, we have been able to raise over £2,000 for the appeal. To date we have sent out nearly 1200 boxes, with some ready to be sent out shortly. With the money raised so far, and the continued support we are expecting, we hope to raise enough money to allow us to ship out boxes well into 2012 and beyond. As long as the support from the public is there, we will continue with the Appeal.

If anyone would like to send out a box, they can make up their own. Boxes should be no bigger than a shoebox and weigh no more than 1.8kg fully wrapped. We do have some shoeboxes available if you cannot get hold of one.

If you do make up your own box, we will need it delivered to us, so that we can then send it out to our troops. Please contact us at shoebox@bexleyheathandwellingrbl.co.uk and we can arrange a suitable time and place for the box to be delivered to us, or collected by one of our members (local area only).

If you would rather we send out a box on your behalf, please contact us, and for a small donation, we can arrange a box for you. The average box costs approx. £7.50 to make up.
